The Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences is the city’s second-largest college or university. It was established in 1971 and is a public university in Bielefeld, Germany. It is one of the original batches of German universities of applied sciences, and it has three campuses in Bielefeld, Minden, and Gütersloh. Further, it is divided into six divisions: Campus Minden, Layout, Engineering and Math, Social Affairs, Business, and Health. There are now 10,828 students enrolled, of which 864 are international.

The city of Bielefeld is located in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe, an area known for its high-tech industry and home to several international firms. Sparrenburg- The castle known as Sparrenburg, which rises above Bielefeld’s south side from the Sparrenberg hill, is the city’s most significant historical structure. The enormous Tutoburg Forest, which stretches for kilometers to the west and south of the city, has its easternmost point at the castle.
Ravensberger Spinnerei- The Ravensberger Spinnerei, located in the Mitte district, formerly boasted 20,000 spinning wheels operating at full capacity, making it the biggest flax mill in all of Europe. Among the textiles made here were tablecloths, shirts, and bed linen.
Alter Markt- Alter Markt, where the city’s market operated until 1903, is arguably the most scenic location in the heart of Bielefeld. There’s a little plaza surrounded by Renaissance gabled houses from the Burgher era. The Late Gothic Crüwell-Haus, built in 1530, is the most beautiful of them all and one of the city’s icons.
