About Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg (HFMT)

The Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg (HFMT) was established in 1950 under the name “State University of Music” from Annemarie Marks-Rocke and Eduard Marks’ private acting school. It is one of the largest non-private music schools in Germany. Located in Hamburg Rotherbaum in the Außenalster, near to the city center, in the famous Budge-Palais. Approximately 1300 students are presently enrolled out of which 32% are  Non-EU nationalists.
