Pearson Test of English (PTE) is an English language Test that is designed to test the proficiency of non-native English speakers. Types of PTE Exam

Academic Test
Academic tests assess a person’s proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. It is a computer-based test. The test results are valid across 3000 universities around the globe. Many countries use this score for immigration purposes. One can complete this test within 2 hours. Declaration of result happens within 48 hours of test completion.

General Test
This test is more focused on a person’s communication skills rather than proficiency. The general test has a writing section and a spoken interview section. You can take this test in May, June, August, November, and December.

Young Learners test
Edexcel delivers this test for children as young as 6 years of age to 13 years of age. This test has two sections: Spoken and Written.
How to Register for PTE?
You can make an exam registration over the phone, email, or website. To register over call you can contact the test center at 00080 0440 2020. However, it is not the most common way to register. A lot of people register for the test using the official website.
Cost of the Test
PTE generally costs around 14000-15000 INR. While the cost of the test keeps fluctuating, so you need to confirm it with the official website for more accuracy.
