About Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences
Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences or Alanus Hochschule für Kunst und Gesellschaft is a state-accredited private university. In 1973, the university was established as an anthroposophical art school. It is located in Alfter on the outskirts of Bonn (NRW), Germany. They offer courses in the fields of architecture, art therapy, fine and performing arts, education, business, and philosophy. In 2010, the German Council of Science and Humanities granted institutional accreditation and the right to award doctorates to the university. Presently, over 1900 students are enrolled out of which 13% are international students.
