About University of Cologne
The University of Cologne, located in Cologne is one of the oldest universities in Europe. It was the 6th university of central Europe in the year 1798. Later, it came into the picture in 1919. It was one of the universities that have received the title, “University of Excellence” from 2012-19. Moreover, it is one of the largest universities with 51,256 students, 657 professors, 6 faculties, and 4 clusters of excellence.

The cost of accommodation varies, for a student dormitory it rounds up to 141-361EUR, for a single private apartment it comes around 500EUR and that of a shared apartment is estimated to be 350-450 EUR. Several places grab the attention of students namely Cologne cathedral which is a UNESCO World Heritage site representing Gothic architecture. Also, the old town of Cologne will fill your heart with its narrow alleys and lined-up galleries, cafes, and boutique shops. Moreover, the City hall and Rhine river cruise are to die for. Moreover, the Ludwig and the Wallraf-Richartz museums along with the NS documentation center, Roman-Germanic, and chocolate museum make you revisit history. Apart from that botanical and zoological gardens gives a breath of fresh air.
