About Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI)
Hasso Plattner Institute or Hasso-Plattner-Institut für Digital Engineering gGmbH, also known as HPI, is a German information technology institute and faculty at the University of Potsdam. It is based in Potsdam, Germany, near Berlin. “IT-Systems Engineering” is the focus of HPI’s education and research. HPI was established in 1998 and is Germany’s first and, as of 2018, only wholly privately funded faculty. Currently, there are around 700 students enrolled.
