About Us- HTA: Study in Germany

The idea for How To Abroad (HTA) began with two students from the University of Bayreuth, who were often asked by others how to apply to German universities, which ones to choose, and how to navigate life as an international student in Germany. Having faced these same challenges themselves, they realized that accessible, accurate information on studying in Germany was hard to come by—and that existing consultancies charged substantial fees (often between €400 and €1000) for similar guidance. Driven by the belief that everyone should have equal access to education, they decided to create HTA as a free, comprehensive platform that provides reliable information on studying in Germany.

How To Abroad App

What started as a simple website has now evolved into an app that provides students and job seekers with personalized guidance in their journey abroad. The HTA app allows users to explore study and job opportunities tailored to their unique profiles, preferences, and qualifications. Not only does it simplify the selection and shortlisting of universities, but it also offers career support by letting users select job preferences and track applications. Beyond that, HTA empowers students to build European-style CVs directly in the app, craft targeted motivation letters, and prepare polished application materials to make their profiles stand out.
