About the university
The Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz was established in 1477. It is one of the ten largest and most diverse universities in Germany. Located in Mainz, Rhineland Palatinate, this university is also home to 289 degrees courses. From January 2005, this university was recognized into 11 faculties of studies.

Places to visit near University
Being the capital and largest city of Rhineland Palatinate, Mainz has several places to visit. St. Stephen’s Church is one of the most beautiful places to visit. You can visit The Gutenberg Museum. It is the oldest printing museum in the world. You can also visit the Mainz State Museum, Museum of Ancient Seafaring, Mainz Cathedral, Marktplatz, St. Augustine’s Church. Apart from that, Mainz Botanical Garden is a mandatory visit.
