AHR Technical University Dresden- Technical University Dresden is one of the leading and most dynamic universities in Germany and has its roots in the Royal Saxon Technical School that was founded in 1828.  The University focuses on Health Sciences, Biomedicine & Bioengineering, Information Technology & Microelectronics, Smart Materials & Structures, Energy, Mobility & Environment, and Culture & Societal Change. The main campus of the university is located south of the Dresden city center. The outer campuses are located in Tharandt (Department of Forest Sciences), in Dresden-Blasewitz (University Hospital and “Biocampus”), in Dresden-Johannstadt (Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology), and in Pirna (Institute of Waste Management) and Zittau (IHI).
