Fachhochschule für Interkulturelle Theologie Hermannsburg:

University of Applied Sciences for Intercultural Theology Hermannsburg was established in the year 2012. Located in Hermannsburg, Germany. It is financed by the Lutheran Churches of Hanover, Brunswick, and Schaumburg-Lippe. Their main focus is to become a place where theological practices in Germany meet the different theologies of Africa, Asia, and Latin America. They have more than 100 African congregations. Their programs are highly ecumenical with science and practice.

Fachhochschule für Interkulturelle Theologie Hermannsburg provides courses for all students of different kinds of denominations and cultural backgrounds. Some courses are:
  1. Intercultural Theology, Migration and Global Cooperation (ITMGC) (B.A)
  2. Intercultural Theology and Global Diaconia (ITGD) (B.A)
  3. Misson Studies and International Diakonia (B.A)
  4. Intercultural Theology (M.A)

Students are allowed to do part-time jobs. They are allowed to work 120 full days or 240 half days per year while they are studying. Online job portals are very useful for students to find part-time jobs in Germany. They can find different kinds of opportunities there. They can join as academic assistance while they are studying. Some off-campus jobs such as waiter/waitress at a cafe, working in trade fairs, cashier, bartender, babysitter, private tutor are available for students. Companies in Hermannsburg such as CMS, DHL, Danfoss, Continental, etc are also hiring for part-time jobs.

The University provides students accommodation in the student’s hostel on a green campus. They have a limited number of rooms. So they provide students rooms on a first-come-first-service policy. Rent for a single room on-campus is 230 Euro per month. Students have to pay monthly for internet and insurance additionally. Currently, they charge 500 Euro for a one-time security deposit for rooms, keys, and for books. Students can look for their accommodation outside the campus.
