University of Applied Sciences for Intercultural Theology Hermannsburg was established in the year 2012. Located in Hermannsburg, Germany. It is financed by the Lutheran Churches of Hanover, Brunswick, and Schaumburg-Lippe. Their main focus is to become a place where theological practices in Germany meet the different theologies of Africa, Asia, and Latin America. They have more than 100 African congregations. Their programs are highly ecumenical with science and practice.

Students of this university can do internships with churches and other regional organizations while they are studying. During internships, students can get the opportunity to put into practice what was learned by them in practice-oriented modules.
