Trier University of Applied Sciences is considered as one of the practice-oriented institutes which mainly focuses on application-based research. With about 7100 students, it is regarded as one of the largest applied science universities receiving the highest chunk of third-party funding in Rhineland-Palatinate. It offers an almost 85 diverse range of courses, comprising 54 bachelor and 31 master’s degree courses on three campuses Schneidershof (main building), Idar-Oberstein (campus design), and Birkenfield (environmental campus). The well-equipped laboratories along with state-of-the-art infrastructure hand out a broad spectrum of learning opportunities.

Several internship opportunities are laid out in the career service portal of the University that would publish new internship possibilities from 26th of October,2021 every Tuesday (career Tuesday). Students can arrange meetings with their dream companies through a web conference via ‘bigbluebutton’ throughout the semester.

Various jobs can be availed through the career service portal of the University which also helps the students in their preparation and gives technical advice. International students are allowed to students can get a pretty good idea of the participating companies, and go through a one-on-one meeting and get to know their employers better. Above all, job exchange, company database, and “Arbeitsagentur” which is an employment agency run by the government can be sought. Moreover, certain positions for instance HR administrator, research area, international project management, budget, and third party fund management are filled from within the campus. A few companies in Trier region include BASF, Lidl, Sap, ITK Engineering, and ZDF.
