The University of Rostock is a public university located in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany. It was founded in 1419 and is one of the oldest universities. The University of Rostock operates a hospital having several teaching and research institutes since the faculty of medicine is among the biggest faculties of the university.
