- Sanssouci Palace and the New Rooms: Sanssouci Palace (Schloss Sanssouci) was constructed in 1745 based on Frederick the Great’s drawings. The finished product is a magnificent single-story Rococo structure with an elliptical dome in the center and circular chambers at either end.
- Museum Barberini: One of the city’s newest attractions, Museum Barberini opened in 2017 on the Old Market Square site of the historic Barberini Palace, which was destroyed during a WWII bombing assault.
- The Old Town Hall: The old Town Hall, or Altes Rathaus, is located in Potsdam’s Alter Markt – the Old Market Square. This magnificent Baroque structure, which was completed in 1753 with three-quarter-length Corinthian columns and a stepped dome, is today better renowned as a center for cultural events and activities.
