About the University
The foundation of Coburg University (Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts) dates back to 1814 as a school for Civil Architecture. In 1959, the fields of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering were added. Since 1999, the campus houses programs for architecture, civil engineering, interior design, product design, and heritage conservation has grown significantly over the last ten years.

Housing and Accommodation
The International Office helps students in looking up for accommodation. Students are offered a flat in student residences of the University which has 500 single apartments with kitchen, bathroom/WC, and modern facilities. The apartments can also be rented for a minimum of half a year (September-February and March-August). The rent is between 170 EUR and 220 EUR per month for the dormitories and for private rooms it is around 300 EUR.
