About the University
The foundation of Coburg University (Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts) dates back to 1814 as a school for Civil Architecture. In 1959, the fields of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering were added. Since 1999, the campus houses programs for architecture, civil engineering, interior design, product design, and heritage conservation has grown significantly over the last ten years.
The University is ranked 4706 of 14,160 universities in the world; 1272 of 2789 in Europe;189 of 370 in Germany; and 23 of 45 in Bavaria.

The University offers bachelor programs and courses with international qualifications in the courses of engineering, business administration, architecture and design, and social work. B.Eng-Engineering physics is the only course offered in English. The University offers double degree programs in

Jobs and Internships
Students can do an internship before or during the course. There are both compulsory as well as voluntary internships which are available at the International office of Coburg University. The University also offers various job exchange offers and also has a compulsory internship semester.
House and Accommodation
The International Office helps students in looking up for accommodation. Students are offered a flat in student residences of the University which has 500 single apartments with kitchen, bathroom/WC, and modern facilities. The apartments can also be rented for a minimum of half a year (September-February and March-August). The rent is between 170 EUR and 220 EUR per month for the dormitories and for private rooms it is around 300 EUR.
