About the Event:
Germany is all set to host the 17th edition of the UEFA(Union of European Football Associations) European Championship which is scheduled to take from June 14 2024 to 14 July,2024 . The 2024 European Championship kicks off Friday when Germany plays Scotland in Munich. The tournament will comprise 24 teams, with Georgia the only team making their European Championship finals debut.

Venues:
Euro 2024 will be played across 10 cities in Germany. The cities and their respective stadiums are:
- Berlin – Olympiastadion
- Munich – Allianz Arena
- Dortmund – Signal Iduna Park
- Stuttgart – Mercedes-Benz Arena
- Hamburg – Volksparkstadion
- Leipzig – Red Bull Arena
- Frankfurt – Deutsche Bank Park
- Cologne – RheinEnergieStadion
- Gelsenkirchen – Veltins-Arena
- Düsseldorf – Merkur Spiel-Arena
Format:
The 24 teams will be divided into 6 groups of 4 teams each. The top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the Round of 16. The tournament then follows a knockout format leading up to the final match.

Group B – Spain, Croatia, Italy, Albania
Group C – Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England
Group D – Poland, Netherlands, Austria, France

Other Attractions:
The commencement of the EURO 2024 began with the big free opening concert at the Brandenburg Gate, followed by a lots of football game viewings, free movie screenings, lots of DJ’s , 100 free outdoor events : Fussballsommer and various other free summer events hosted in Berlin. Apart from these, Fan zones are a popular attraction in each host city wherein the fans can gather together and watch the live broadcasts of the matches on big screens. Many cities set up public viewing areas for fellow fans to gather up. Berlin is among those cities turning the area around the Brandenburg Gate into the largest public viewing area.
