About Harz University of Applied Sciences

Harz University of Applied Sciences was established in the year 1991. It is a non-profit,public-private university. This university has two campuses in Saxony-Anhalt. The Department of Automation and Computer Sciences and the Department of Business Studies are located in Wernigerode and The Department of Public Management is located in Halberstadt. This university has 3100 students and 4% of them are international students.

Housing and Accommodation

Students can stay in shared apartments in the student halls of residence in Wernigerode or Halberstadt. The halls of residence are maintained by the “Studentenwerk Magdeburg“. The monthly rent will be around 300 Euros and students have to pay a deposit of about 200 – 300 Euros.

Cost of Living

This university does not charge any tuition fees. Students have to pay 103 Euros per semester as a semester contribution. It includes a semester ticket that allows students to use public transportation in Saxony-Anhalt. So, the cost of living will be around 820 Euros per month.
