Hochschule Emden/Leer was initially founded in 1973 as East Friesland University of Applied Sciences and was newly founded in 2009. the university has three campuses – Emden Campus, Maritime Campus Leer, and Business Campus Leer. Dual study programs and online studies are also available at the university.
