The Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts or Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main, HfMDK is the sole state Hochschule for music, theatre, and dance in the German state of Hesse. It was established in 1938. Performance on all instruments and voices, music education, composition, conducting, and church music are all part of the academic programs.
