About the Hochschule

The Mittweida University of Applied Sciences has been synonymous with internationality since its founding in 1867. With approximately 80,000 graduates from more than 40 countries, the university can proudly look back on a successful 150-year history. Mittweida University of Applied Sciences offers over 50 degree programmes of international standing to its over 7,000 students. The five faculties provide Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Diploma programmes.

House and Accommodation

Students residing in Mittweida have access to a variety of housing options. Students can choose between single and shared apartments in the location of their choice. International students residing on campus during their enrolment are required to sign a rental agreement.. A 300 EUR deposit will be required from students.  Each room has a bed with a mattress and covers, a wardrobe, a desk, a shelf, a chair, a TV with an internet connection, a bathroom, and a kitchen.

The Mittweida University of Applied Sciences offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses to more than 7000 students. The University offers most of the programs in the German language with the exception of some programs taught in English. The programs offered focus on 5 main subject areas that include:

About the city

The motto of the small town in the federal state of Saxony is “Mittweida is what you make of it.” Private student parties are especially popular because Mittweida’s nightlife is limited. Every evening during the week, you are welcome to visit the student club.
