DAAD – Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst Scholarship the German Academic Exchange Service is also known as the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst Scholarship in Germany, is the world’s largest funding organization for German and international students from developing countries. Since the foundation of DAAD in 1925, it has funded nearly two million students in Germany and abroad.

In 2019, the DAAD provided funding to over 145.000 German and international scholars around the world. The funding opportunities range from an undergraduate year abroad to doctoral programs, internships to visiting lectureships, and knowledge gathering trips to assisting with the establishment of the latest universities in abroad.
