DAAD, the German Academic Exchange Service is also known as the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst Scholarship in Germany, is the world’s largest funding organization for German and international students from developing countries. Since the foundation of DAAD in 1925, it has funded nearly two million students in Germany and abroad.

Aim

The aim of the DAAD is to build future leaders and help growing nations establish practical university systems. DAAD offers a wide selection of degree programs both taught in English as well as German.

The funding is set by voluntary and independent selection committees. The members of the choice committee are chosen by the Executive Committee supported by a group of criteria.
