DAAD, the German Academic Exchange Service is also known as the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst Scholarship in Germany, is the world’s largest funding organization for German and international students from developing countries. Since the foundation of DAAD in 1925, it has funded nearly two million students in Germany and abroad.

The funding is set by voluntary and independent selection committees. The members of the choice committee are chosen by the Executive Committee supported by a group of criteria. Through marketing services, publications, event staging, and training courses, it also supports German education institutions’ international activities.
