The Technical University Darmstadt  is a technical university which was founded in 1877 in Darmstadt, Germany, and is popularly known as TU Darmstadt. Graduates from TU Darmstadt include Nobel Prize winners, entrepreneurs, managers, billionaires, and politicians. In the year 2004, TU Darmstadt was declared autonomous. Also, this university was the first in Germany to receive autonomy. The university campus lies at the exact center of Darmstadt. Hence, it is possible to reach here via bus or tram.
