Eligibility Criteria to Study MBBS in Germany

For Indian students planning to study medicine in Germany, there are several rules and regulations. However, they should meet the following criteria to study in Germany:

    • Students are required to complete 13 years of education before enrolling in the MBBS program.
    • Indian students with an 80% or higher grade point average in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are preferred and overall 86% to 90% (92% above is recommended).
    • Student must be at least 17 years old.
    • IELTS scores of 6.5 overall or above. 
    • DSH (Deutsche Sprachprufung fur den Hochschulzugang) or other German language tests such as GDS and KDS are required.
    • A minimum C1 level is required, but a B2 level in German is generally expected. If a student enrolls in the preparatory course, a B1 German Certificate is required.
    • A student should have cleared the NEET exam with the minimum required mark of 60%.

Note:-

    • Indian students can pursue MBBS in Germany after completing their 12th standard. Before entering a university, Indian students must complete Studienkolleg.
    •  Only 5% of the quota is reserved for the International Students.

On completing a degree in medicine students planning to practice as a Physician aim to pass the state exam. While, after clearing the state exam one can get a license to practice as a Physician.
