About the University

The Deggendorf Institute of Technology is a research-oriented Technische Hochschule, founded in 1994. In addition to its undergraduate and graduate courses, the university offers doctoral programs in cooperation with Charles Sturt University. It has its campuses in Deggendorf and Pfarrkirchen. The University provides student facilities such as Career Centre, International Office, Language Centre, Library, Computer Facilities, Student Advice, University – sports, Childcare Centre and Intercultural Program

Facts and Figures

The University enrolls around 6,300 students. Deggendorf University changed its official name to Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT) on 1 October 2013. The Innovation and Technology Campus Deggendorf (ITC1) was started in 2001.

Jobs/Internships

Students passing out after graduation can work as a research associate, data analyst, design engineer and can also work in healthcare departments. The internship is a must for a few courses wherein internship is provided by the collaborated industries and research institutes. The Career Service organizes job forums together with faculties to give students the opportunity to get to know companies from the respective fields of their study.

firstcontact student club organizes a job fair in cooperation with the DIT Career Service. It is attended by 180 companies and hire talented and ambitious students for the payroll. Jobs can also be found on the DIT online job board.

The cost of living will cost approximately 650 euros/month, including rent, food, health insurance, and other personal needs. This would cost around INR 58,000/month and 764 USD/month (according to the current value of currency).
