About Hochschule Geisenheim University

Hochschule Geisenheim University (HGU) is a state university in Hesse, Germany, with its headquarters in Geisenheim, Rheingau. It was established on January 1, 2013, as a new sort of institution based on the Science Council’s recommendations. The Geisenheim Department of the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and the Geisenheim Research Institute were predecessor entities that were united to form the current Geisenheim University.  It offers eight bachelor’s and nine master’s programs.
