Fachhochschule des Mittel International Studentsstands was established in Bielefeld in 2000 by the Paderborn District Crafts Association as a private, state-recognized university of applied sciences. The FHM is among Germany’s best ten private institutions with its main campus located in Berlin. Fachhochschule des Mittelstands holds 7% of International students.

The University’s connection has around 4,000 professional connections in total, providing students with a six-month internship program with these. Many collaborations are intensive and have been sustained by university locations for several years. The FHM continues to expand its worldwide ties and collaboration, assisting teachers and students in developing intercultural competence. While student dorms are less expensive, private apartments can cost anything from 500€ to 950€. The deposit for the college student apartment is 450€.  Flatshares, Dormitories or Studierendenwerk are options worth considering too.
